Enzo Roberts: A Writer Worth Remembering

"An experiment in writing" is what Enzo Roberts calls his first novella-in-progress which he has temporarily named "Holt" in reference to the name of the main character. The work is, so far as I've seen, an a sci-fi/mystery drama that he hopes to have finish by early next year. After reading the sneak peak at that Mr Roberts has graciously allowed us to publish, I am convinced that he clearly has the imagination and the writing skills to see his work through to publication. Now if he would just FINSH THE BOOK!

"Holt"
Written by Enzo Roberts

The wind blew outside the window and stirred the air around him. Thunder played in distant syncopation with the droning rain song. It was a sad song and the dance was a rhythmic sobbing—a mothers loss. The static in the air from the building electrical storm gave the atmosphere a hint of excitement. Holt felt the sadness as the contents were revealed but an overwhelming sense of purpose was building. Holt pulled back the last of the wrapper revealing the blood wet mass that was part human ear and part electronic assembly. A heavy crack of lighting startled Holt and he quickly covered the device and hid the memory of his friend.
